Cooking together

Princess and I love to cook together. We have been very busy in the kitchen lately
with our garden bursting at the seams and the weather taking a turn for a bit of coolness.
We had a lovely afternoon today making a bruschetta pizza with goat cheese.
We used a variety of heirloom tomatoes that Farmer Dad grows in our garden
some were green,some yellow,some red,some purple...all were delicious!
We enjoyed a taste test on crackers while the pizza cooked
and it was terrific.I was doubtful that Princess would eat it, but she loved it!
Here are some pictures.....

Your pizza looks wonderful! I can't wait to start cooking with CJ- I think she'll really enjoy it. And could you please some of the cooler weather to Oklahoma?! ;o)

Slurp...excuse me. My mouth is watering profusely! Delish! What a great way to spend a day together. Just wait until she is older and cooking can become fraction practice!

Angela- we do a bit of that when we cut..."this is in half...blah,blah"

Making pizza is so much fun. I would love to have a garden like yours. I think when we buy our house we will definitely do that. Princess seems to really love it.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
