Weekend fun

This weekend was hot and sticky as July tends to be in New Jersey.
We enjoyed our local pizzeria's 30Th Anniversary, followed by roasting marshmallows over an open fire.We ate some fresh garden produce,(green beans,Swiss chard, zucchini, yellow squash, and peppers). We floated in our little pool in the backyard and blew bubbles and
played Frisbee.Sunday found us bird and butterfly watching in our backyard.
Here are some pictures

Princess looks like she had a lot of fun.

That is so neat that you are growing your own produce. It sounds so yummy.

The human edibles that can grow in my yard are chiles and prickly pear.

Wow, birds, butterflies and bubbles. It sounds like a perfect title for book. Princess is so lucky. I think we will do bubbles today. We too are enjoying farm fresh produce from our CSA. All your (and Farmer Dad's) hard work is paying off.

Oh and lest I forget, we are thinking of getting a fire pit mostly for roasting marshmallows. Yum!

Thanks O...she loves it because it folds up and fits in it's own bag.

M. my DH wishes he could do better with chiles and I think we have some
prickly pear cactus, although they do not look edible to me,lol.

N.- The fire pit has been a huge hit this year!LOL, love the book title!
We are having a heat wave this week, so we're staying in as much as possible!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
