Unplug your kids....Monday

Thanks to the Mom at Unplug your Kids,
we have another good group project today.
Her description follows:
A very basic description of a haiku is the following:

Haiku:
- subject: everyday things - often nature, feelings, or experiences
- length: three short NON-RHYMING lines
- form:
1st line: 5 syllables
2nd line: 7 syllables
3rd line: 5 syllables

I really hope some of you will join in. Princess has been unwilling, but I fear she is feeling under the weather
today and she is very "sniffly".She is having "quiet time" with Little Man (he is sleeping).

Haikus (or is it just haiku?) are fun!

I hope Princess feels better.

So sorry that Princess is not herself today.

This was fun for me and my 7 year-old, but my 5 year-old didn't want to do it either.

I have intentionally made next week's project very vague ("Red") just to see what happens! I hope that Princess will be feeling better and will find something fun to do for that one!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
