Telling Time

For school time today, we worked on telling time.
Princess is always asking me for the time.
What time is it now? When will Daddy be home?
To answer that, I made a "clock" out of a paper plate
that we hung above our kitchen clock.
She knows Daddy leaves work when the kitchen "clocks"
match. This is when we do our "quick pick up" of the living room
if it's messy from play time.He arrives home within 15 minutes most days.
I used this site here
and made these
I've been having her "match" the analog time with the digital time.
She thinks it is great fun!
I have a couple of books that talk about telling time also.
Today,Princess couldn't wait for Little Man to wake up from his nap so she could play with him.
I had promised they could bring in the play tunnel. After he went home, she played with an "art" set and then she played chess and Abalone
with Farmer Dad.We all played a hand of Uno as well.
Then we all got ready for bed.It was a nice evening.

I think you did a great job making the game.

Ami has a tunnel too, but hers doesn't have the face.

Time is one of those things we need to start working on. Cool site.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
