Goings on in our Garden State Homeschool

I have not had as much computer time as I would like,
so I have been having a hard time showing all we have been doing
and all we plan to do and visiting my blog friends, and updating and re-organizing the blog
as I have planned...I will get there..I promise.
Meanwhile, here is a bit of what we've been doing...
play dates with Peanut..filled with dress up

and paper dolls

that I made on the fly to keep them amused...
Painting in the kitchen...

Playing horseshoes with Farmer Dad in the backyard before it is too cold...

"tending" to our Thankful Tree.

Princess has been writing all the words (so far) by herself.

She didn't even ask me how to spell any of them.
This is good right? Why do I feel a bit sad ? :-(
"Mystery Craft Bags" filled with odds and ends for Princess to make
something out of.

Searching for critters under leaves..

Talking about what makes a "square meal" and good nutritional choices.

Princess has also been doing a great job at keeping carrots and mustard greens lining the kitchen counter.
Especially the really muddy ones right after I clean the whole thing nice and shiny. lol

It's bittersweet watching them grow up.

Sounds like you've been having a wonderful time!

That's great, about the spelling. Princess looks like she is getting taller too.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
