Monday is generally time to join in
with Mom Unplugged in her Unplugged Group Project,
and today is no exception....
This week's theme is KITCHEN...
Here is what we did...
We took some water, yeast, sugar ,flour and salt..
put it all together and since we needed to wait for an hour, we made these Chocolate Milk Shakes
to hold us over, after the first rising, we made 10 balls..
they needed to rise for another 20 minutes, so we made a couple of loaves of bread and
one of these to make good use of that hot oven ;-).I had that dough ready to go.
Then we flattened them out like this
Put them into the oven..it took us two batches of five each.
Had some of this to hold us over..
And then we had these....
Our first home made pita pockets. We will never buy them again..these were so much better.
Even the "not so puffy" ones were delish with some good extra virgin olive oil drizzled on them.
