Reflections on Sunday....

This past Sunday we went to one of the local art museums for their
Family Fun Day
.
Normally we go just the three of us,but this year we brought friends of ours who have never been
there before. We made a "mask" craft, watched the Isadora Duncan Dancers, and completed the scavenger hunt to win a prize (small toy cars were chosen) before heading out to the patio for some free ice cream!
We were very fortunate that there was also a huge
Coexistence Festival going on that
day as well in the same neighborhood,
so we spent the entire afternoon walking around the festival after enjoying the museum.

The festival had many different musical experiences going on at different parts of the route. My favorite was a group from Peru playing Simon and Garfunkel. Truly surreal.
Our friend's came back to our house for dinner straight off the grill and a bubble extravaganza!Oh yes, this time the margaritas were only fit for adult consumption and boy were they good!

Sounds like a great day. Princess must be such a good kid. Lately, it just exhausts me to think of taking Citcat to something like that.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
