Saturday in the yard....
Can you hear Chicago playing on the neighbors radio?
I can. The windows are open, the sun is shining.
Lawnmowers are humming all over the place.
We have spent the day playing and working in the yard
with a bit of reading and laundry thrown in for good measure. Then we celebrated
Cinco de Mayo with a bit of Mexican music
on the stereo and (non-alcoholic) margaritas with our dinner! The asparagus is fresh from the garden!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .

How fun! Fresh asparagus....mmmmm!I visited the local grower yesterday, and picked up a bushel of mixed fresh veggies.
We had steak and fresh corn on the cob with grilled peppers. I can not believe how much I missed fresh corn! Today we will enjoy the asparagus and new potatoes. I thought we were lucky to have a local grower set up a stand so close, but it doesn't get much better than your own backyard!
YEAH!!! A PICNIC!!!! Looks so AWESOME!
You make life so nice for your family. The table, the music, the food all look great.
Thanks Gals!
It was a lovely day!
