Happy Birthday J.M.Barrie !!

Today is the anniversary of the birth of
Sir James Barrie
. Born May 9, 1860
Author of Peter Pan.
We have been reading it and will possibly
watch the movie today as well.
If you don't have a copy of the book,
and want to check it out click here
Princess will be happy to discover a cupcake
to celebrate the creator of her beloved Tink.
If you are interested in learning more about the man please visit ANON.
Here are some pictures of Princess dressed
as Tinker Bell for her 3rd Birthday.
She still dresses up like Tink,
but these are my favorite pictures of her doing it.

Oh she is so adorable. There was a short mini production of Peter Pan, the ballet at our library this past Saturday. Sadly, I didn't remember it until Sunday. I was so upset because I am sure Citcat would have loved it.

Princess looks so young in the photos. Doesn't it amaze you how quickly they grow?

How precious! You must rent a copy of the Broadway production of "Peter Pan" starring Cathy Rigby. I got it for my "Stinkerbell" when she was about seven, and she watched it every day for weeks! It really is amazing, and a great way to introduce stage productions with a familiar story.

LOL, I did not do the face painting
myself. We have a wonderful friend
who brings her face paints to p's
parties and generously paints all the kids in attendance!
I have no talent to speak of.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
