Art Books

Today we are going to "create some art" after reading a couple of books about art.

the Dot by Peter H.Reynolds
This one little dot marks the beginning of one little girl's "creative spirit"...very cute tale.

M is for Masterpiece written by David Domeniconi and illustrated by Will Bullas

This is a terrific alphabet book filled with information about art.
The Painter's Cat written by Sharon Wooding
A fictional story based on the Lorenzo Lotto painting titled "The Annunciation".

I have a few others if Princess wants to hear more, but I think she'll want to get right to
the "creating" half way through one book.

Actually, it didn't take that long.
Now we'll clean up and head out for lunch
with friends....

I'd love to see some of her paintings if you'd like to share them.

I loved The Dot. M is for Masterpiece looks interesting. I am going to bookmark that one.

I so hope that Citcat comes around and wants to "do art" someday. I hoped you enjoyed your lunch and outdoor play.

Patience, If it's ok with Princess, I will post them later today.
Nina, We had a lovely visit and I have a couple of suggestions that I'll e-mail you about encouraging the "artist" in Citcat. In the meantime,
enjoy her doing what she is interested in ! :-)

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
