Library Day

Monday usually finds us at home in our jammies for most
if not all of the day. This week my sis called and asked to spend time with Princess, so I was able to head over to the library for
"Me time". I love being in the library. I searched the book stacks for
new picture books for Princess and found so many I liked!
I even found some fiction for me (I do love a good cozy!) and some
parenting and teaching books to peruse.I even found some gardening books to
look through for ideas for this year. I am going to try to get back into
gardening as Princess is big enough to "help" or at least let me work
for small periods of time while she plays. My flower beds are a mess from the past 4 years of neglect. We have a "butterfly park" near us and Princess would like to re create some of it here in her play area. We saved shells last year and rocks to paint for decorating the paths as they do in the park and we can't wait to get started. Hopefully we can get some seeds going for annuals to fill in around until the end of season sales for the perennials.I love the promise of a season not yet begun.....

I love going to the library by myself! I envy your family nearby. We are all alone where we live.

I use our library system's reserve service to order book that I want. I usually have 25 books (the limit) waiting for me when we go to the library. I browse the system from the comfort of home. I am not sure all library systems allow it but I am really grateful for the service.

I'm looking forward to your photos of the gardening. What a good idea to paint rocks for the pathway.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
