Post Birthday Thursday

Princess had a wonderful time throwing Farmer Dad a surprise

41st Birthday Party last night. The cake was a fave of his, "pineapple upside down cake". They watch "Sponge Bob" together every night so it

fit the theme.

This Thursday was technically a school day, but we didn't stick to our plan

as Princess wanted to work in one of her "wipe off" work books instead.

The only thing in our theme we did was watch a Valentines Day video.

No valentines were made, no decorating done...oh well.We spent a couple

of hours dumping the book basket in her room and then we "organized"

said books and then we put them back. This left us with a huge pile to

be read and so we did. Ah I love to snuggle up and read.

Happy Birthday to Farmer Dad. Pineapple Upside Down cake would be yummy right now with a cup of coffee. Reading & Organzing sound like a good home school day to me. I'm sure your daughter learned a lot especially how to love and be loved. Your dh doesn't look 41 but I'll bet he hears that all the time.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
