Spring Fling

Feeling like having a "spring fling"?
Try these muffins....Princess and I made them today.
If this were t.v., instead of our actual life,
we would have made them from the strawberry plants
we planted yesterday....but in real life we bought them
at the supermarket because it will be a while before we
have any fruit growing on our strawberry plants.
They smell heavenly....really you should try them.
Mine are missing the slivered almonds, not because
we didn't have any, but because I forgot them.
I don't care, my whole house smells slightly of strawberries and almonds
and I am enjoying it while my husband and daughter are puttering about
the yard enjoying the end of a lovely spring day.
We also made these today,
my first donuts...just two of them for with our tea. Princess said the icing
was pretty tasty, but the donuts were a bit sour. WT?
Oh well, I tried, and now I know I can sort of make them,
so I just need to find a recipe for tasty ones.

Finally I got your comment box up! I hate these things! Er, pop-up comment boxes, that is! Not your muffins. They look so yummy. Keep persisting with the donuts, you'll get there.

The muffins look great. I think I might have to pick up some strawberries this week. As for the donuts, you will get it. I have a recipe around here somewhere that my mom use to make when I was a kid (I never made them) I can send it to you if you want. Just let me know.

Your muffins look amazing! That is definitely not the inspiration I need right before I head to the grocery store, with me back on my low-carb diet. I'm tempted to drive all the way to NJ for such deliciousness!

The flowers are gorgeous and the muffins look delicious. Did you use a mix because you said you were missing the almonds?

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
