Mom Unplugged is back with a group project on Birds this week.
If you join in, link back so we can all come see what you did.
Even if you don't join in, (and why wouldn't you?)stop by and
see what everyone else did.
Here is our contribution this week. Princess has started a "bird wall".
She is coloring and cutting out pictures of birds she wants to learn about
or just really likes. Our plan is to study them and make some lapbooks
as we do.Today she actually decided to do the small pieces (the owl's eyes and beak)all by herself. Normally, she would have asked me to do that part.
She did a great job.
We have a lovely pair of cardinals in our yard,
so we started with that. Since she colored the male, here is a photo
of the female in our fig tree outside my kitchen window. She always lets me
know if the feeder is low or empty! Normally, she does not allow me to take her
picture, unlike her hubby, who just loves having his picture taken.
Here is Pumpkin watching the birds at the feeder early this morning.

Nice job, P.
It looks like she is learning *a lot* about birds.
Sounds like you'll have lots of fun learning about the birds P has picked out! It seems Pumpkin is also enjoying the bird lessons!
And just look at those scissors skills! Impressive!
I think it is cute that even the cat is in on the Unplugged Project this week! I'd love to see the lapbooks sometime - I'm very intrigued by the concept of them.
I just noticed your profile. It says you've been with your hubby for 23 years. I always imagined you much younger than me because of Princes being 5. Have you ever shared the story on this? Its just a little interesting fact I just now happened onto.
Looks like your daughter learned a lot during this study.
We have a pair of cardinals that live in a tree outside our dining room window. They are so beautiful.
It looks like Princess has advanced scissoring skills. :)
As usual great projects. P is doing so good on her coloring. That is wonderful.
Very nice bird pictures, both P's and yours! I wish we had cardinals here. I grew up in the Northeast and I really miss them.
