Pictures from Wednesday....

We had a busy day on Wednesday, meeting friends for lunch,
stopping by the library sale on the way home.We picked up a couple
of books and DVDs, but I'll have to go back without her- she just does not
have the patience to let me really hunt through all the books.

Princess making a PB&J sandwich
on PB&J Day.
I bought a jar of this truly too sweet
stuff for her after she really enjoyed it
at a friend's house a while ago.
She was very excited to cut it herself.
I read the book about Hans Christian Andersen while
she enjoyed eating "her" sandwich, she even made one
for Farmer Dad.
Then we went outside to enjoy some
sun. It was very cold, but she had fun
running around and I made notes of all
the work yet to do......
Once back inside we read all our new books and had dinner.
She played with the cats and then had a bath.
I was very surprised that she went readily to bed after a t.v.
program and the promise of two extra bed time stories.
I also had to promise we would do maths today and work on her
reading some more. OK, if you insist Princess.

It looks like a fun day in the sun, even if it was still chilly. How cool that P made you promise to work on her maths and reading- you're doing something right, Mom!

What a great day. It is nice that you even found a way to make a PB&J special for her. I agree with Jenny, you are definetly doing something right when she makes you promise to do school work with her. Great Job!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
