Farmer Dad took a vacation day today and we spent almost all
of it in the backyard. It was a bit cooler than yesterday, but still
quite nice.Princess lost interest once she realized it was too early
to plant flowers, but we got the rest of the beds dug and sowed some beets.
Carrots and parsnips will be done tomorrow. We finalized the garden plan
including which things we will plant at the community garden plot instead of
the backyard plot.
We brought my truck in to be fixed (yeah!)and he fixed my vacuum
cleaner (super yeah!)so it was a pretty good day all around.
Farmer Dad and Princess picked up dinner and we're all tired from a day
of hard work. This is what's going on under my feet right now.
I leave you with some cherry blossoms.Sweet dreams.

Yay!!!
ONE of my SIX watermelons sprouted today. I am thrilled. Even if it dies and the other five never germinate, I will consider it a successful season. (The unaimed arrow never misses, right?)
My orange cat Ivan and my Siamese cat Steve were "spooning" today -- you know, nestled into each other, like spoons, as they snoozed.
I'd never seen two adult cats spoon before.
Something's in the air, Kate.
What a wonderful way to spend the day. The garden beds look beautiful. I hope your truck is ready to go quickly!
PS Love the new header! :o)
I can't wait till our next warm day here. 9It was snowing today.) Your pictures look so inviting.
