Today, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr
we are asked to join in, contribute, volunteer
in our community, our country.
In short, get off our tush and DO SOMETHING.
Can you feel the leadership? You can go here
to find out how and where you can get involved
if you are not already involved and feel the need
to get to work making things better.
If you are looking for more information
on Mr King for your children, try this.
Princess and I are reading this book
It is also National Popcorn Day,

The whole service thing has me vexed. I'm not sure how I can possiblly find the time to make a full commitment with two small (and I might add irratating & crabby)children.
I do want to give more of time to some different organizations that I loved being apart of in high school. I am just waiting for the boys to get a little bigger so they can come along and help.
Great books. I am going to try and find that MLK one at the library tomorrow.
I volunteer so much time in my church that I have no other community time left. My kids help with the county food bank and i help stock our church pantry so I guess I do get a little done.
The service day listings for our area included making a donation to our local Goodwill- so we did. That doesn't seem like much though.
Popcorn book Owen would love.
I found it hard too, so many things
P is too young to be included in.
We donate etc, it's hard to do more. I say more, because I know most of the people who read here, already "do" something.
