I love Mondays!

Yes, I know it's unpopular, but I love Mondays.
Farmer Dad heads off to work, Princess and I ease into
lessons, some TV time, a movie or a pile of books and games.
We may head out to play in the wee bit of snow.
Jammies are the uniform of choice on Mondays.
We dream, plan, bake, eat, play and cuddle.
We never worry about what we need to do or
learn or where we need to go on Monday.
We will work in some or all of the following this week....
John Hancock's Birthday/ International Thank You Day
National Marzipan Day
Frisbee Invented/Rubber Duckie's Birthday
National Dress Up Your Pet Day/Bald Eagle Day
Hat Day/National Strawberry Ice Cream Day/Homeschool Open House@Library
National Fig Newton Day/Clamp-On Roller Skates were Patented
Ben Franklin's Birthday
I'm not sure how it will go. Yes, I have plans, but no, we don't necessarily stick to them.
That's just not how we roll here in our little corner of the Garden State.
Our weekend was quiet and loud, filled with good times with friends,

and the unfortunate end of the Football season. :-(
We baked cookies, ate more pizza, played more games than I have time
to mention here. We argued, cried, laughed, sang, snuggled and did laundry.
Watched Pumpkin play.
Just like many other weekends. I hope your weekend was lovely as well.

Oh I dread Mondays after the weekend where my dh can help out with the crabby children who shall not be named. P must be so good for you!

I need to find my Ben Franklin book. Thanks for the heads up.

I LOVE Mondays!

After a busy, noisy weekend, especially.

I do the initial dinner preps while the kids are getting ready for school. Drop 'em off at 8:00am, and most Mondays I can then lolligag until it's time to cook dinner. It's the quietest day of the week -- or it seems to be, because it's right after the weekend.

I have to go into the office to do payroll today, though. PFFFFT!!!

Whether or not we love Mondays depends a great deal on CJ's mood and how well I slept the night before! Today didn't get off to a smooth start, but things settled down after awhile thank goodness!

I love Mondays. They are gentle, reclaiming days after the busy weekend on someone else's schedule. I always insist that we stay at home on a Monday and do a little learning, a little reading, we used to bake when I had an oven, and it was always a perfect day.

Another thing to love about homeschooling!

I love Mondays too!

The only reason I don't like a day is if I'm ill or Gavin is ill, or if we have to get up early (which isn't often, but I had to get out of bed at 7:30 a.m. today - UGH! - to drive my dad to Wilmington for a doc visit).

Like you, we ease into our lessons and make the most of our day!

Those cookies look so good and I love Pumpkins color. We are off to a slow start this week but that never lasts too long.

I am a Monday lover as well! I adore my DH, but he brings so much noise and chaos into the house that conflicts with my love of a peaceful home.
ANd flannel jammies...nothing better!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
