THE OFFICIAL MONDAY BOOK POST

Here's what we are reading

Beneath the Ghost Moon by Jane Yolen and illustrated by Laurel Molk
is a really cute Halloween themed story. Princess and I really enjoyed this story of
one brave little white mouse who convinces her friends that their home is worth
fighting for and reminds them of the importance of forgiveness. The illustrations are
really lovely as well.

Moose Tracks! by Karma Wilson and Jack E Davis
had us cracking up...especially
the "surprise" ending.Think you can figure out who is leaving tracks all over the house?

Who Said Boo?Halloween Poems for the Very Young
by Nancy White Carlstrom and illustrated by R.W. Alley
has some adorable illustrations and 12 poems that follow
a families capers on one Halloween night.
Princess has enjoyed this quite a bit as we gear up for
Halloween around our house.

Oh thank you, thank you. I just now ordered Beneath the Ghost Moon and Who said Boo? from the library. I am a bit tired of our Halloween books already.

I linked to Karma Wilson's website on my post today. P might like to take a look.

I love your "eek" banner. That is so cute.

Thanks for the book reviews, too. We don't have any Halloween books so you've given me some good ideas.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
