Simply Sunday

Alley and Pumpkin got a bit more used to each other today. Pumpkin slept with Princess
last night and they spent the first part of the morning playing together in her room.
He spent some of the day under our bed, and then decided to face off with Alley for
his right to move about the house freely. This was a bloodless test of wills.A stand off
under the dining room table.
Today our Goddaughter turned 20!
She was heading down to see her Mom, so
we had her stop off to meet Pumpkin first, and Farmer Dad
went to pick up "Birthday Donuts" to celebrate with her.
Naturally we put a candle in and sang to her.
Princess decided to go with her to lunch, so we didn't go
to the Library's "Healthy Halloween" celebration.
Not a big deal to me. I stayed home and watched the Giants
win :-)and Smoke lose :-(
and snuggled with Pumpkin instead of vacuuming,
or doing the laundry.Farmer Dad went to his friend's house to play guitar for
a bit. I decided not to feel guilty for not getting anything done during my alone time.

Happy B-Day to your Goddaughter

Pumpkin looks sweet, I am happy for Princess.

Our three cats have had very different reactions to Charlotte.

What fun for P! Soph wants a pet so badly. She always tells me that when I grow up I wont be allergic to animals and she can have all of them as a pet, even the goats. Silly girl. She'll have to make due with fish for now!

I'm so glad the standoff was bloodless! We woke to cats fighting outside last night...scary sounds, for sure!

I am so glad you just took some time to relax...don't we all need that sometimes? I am planning to block periods of "nothing" into my schedule this next month, for that very reason!

I have been meaning to stop by and say congrats about the cat. P must be so excited. The boys have been asking for a new pet, Gabe has wanted an owl or a chicken. He is such a silly boy. I think we will go with a bird though. Well I hope that the cat is settling in nicely.

Thanks Gals.
P is very happy
and the cats are managing pretty well together so far.
Oh boy did I need "down time"
that wasn't spent "planning" anything
or cleaning.lol

OH how exciting to have a new cat! Travis has been asking for a cat for years now. Princess is a lucky girl! I told Travis he could have one once Demaris was old enough to stay out of the litter box we would talk about it. Now with Zehira he might have to wait a lot longer.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
