Unplug Your Kids Group Project
Today we took part in the group project over at Unplug Your Kids.
The idea was to take your kid(s) outside and pick up some natural materials
to bring in and combine with paint to make art.
We brought a basket outside first thing in the morning and picked some acorns,
leaves, and various seed pods from around our yard.
Princess had a lot of fun with this project (we do this pretty regularly)
and naturally ended by painting her hands. The bath was our next step.:-)
Here are some pictures.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of
our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .

Thanks for joining us, I look forward to seeing your pictures!
(Thank goodness for washable paints!)
Very cool! I really like her project. I just saw something like that in an older Martha Stewart Kids magazine.
I like that website, thanks for linking to it.
Thank you both- it was fun and Cher, I think that is where I got the idea
from originally,lol.
P loves doing it!
That is a really neat project.
It looks like Princess really had a lot of fun with it. I think CJ's favorite was the dandelion head. I was so glad to read that she wasn't the only one who ended up with paint on her hands and then a bath right after! :o)
Oooh! That turned out beautifully! I love the colors! Thanks for posting the photos. Hope to see you next week too!
