is another book of poetry,this time about origami.We are going to have to learn how to do this,
Princess was enthralled.If you go to the author's site, she has directions for and links for other sites with directions for origami.I see many hours of fun with this book!
A KICK IN THE HEAD an Everyday Guide to Poetic Forms selected by Paul B.Janeczko
and illustrated by Chris Rasschka.29 poetic forms are explained along with wonderful examples of each.
Princess has been enjoying both the poems and the really cool artwork.
I must warn you all that going to these author sites can start a whole other library list of must reads!!
Just a heads up for anyone who may care:
I'm going to do my book posts on Tuesday to make participation in the Unplug Your Kids group project
easier.

I am going to have to look for A Kick in the Head. It sounds like a book Ami might enjoy.
Fold Me a Poem sounds perfect for us right now! We're trying to learn origami for our Art subject.
I hope you both enjoy them...we are.
Please Bury Me in the Library was a favorite last year, the pictures are so cool. The kids love silly poetry like that, and I am going to check out the other two books.
I had to jot down all of those! I love children's poetry, and Eliza really enjoys listening to it recited (by me and CDs). Discussion of different types of poetry is still over her head at 3 years old, of course, but by the time she's Princess' age I think she'd be really into it. :)
K memorized Please Bury Me in the Library for a homeschool poetry reading a couple of years ago - it was such fun! Love that book.
