And we decided to take a break...

Princess had a chance to spend some time with my sister,
so we took a break from our Kindergarten schedule.
When she returned home, we colored in her new Halloween
themed coloring book and played a couple board games.
Then she said she needed computer time, so I never got a chance to
post here at all. I did get to pop over to our library to pick up a couple
of holds and drop off a couple of books we were done with after dinner.
I brought home another stack of books and can't wait to share some of them,
but I will wait until Monday. Princess will be up soon, and I would like to work a bit today.
We will be doing a lot of reading and hopefully get outside a bit too.
She also wanted to pick a recipe from these neat recipe cards she received for her birthday
and "cook something" together. I will post pictures.

That is how it is supposed to be, my dear! Flexibility is the key to homeschooling hte early years! Can't wait to read about the books.

Thanks Angela!
I sometimes worry we're not "doing enough" and then I worry we're trying to do "too much",lol.

Have a great day!

I get those days every so often. I just make sure that they are still learning. It does not always have to be from a book. I find that I am more happy on those days. Which makes the boys happier. Alot nicer day.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
