Freezing Rain

The last two days we have been enjoying a bit of Spring here in New Jersey.
We played outside and opened the windows a bit to air out the house.
We ran in the yard with the sun on our backs and watched our lettuce begin to grow.
Today we awoke to freezing rain/sleet/snow.
Princess is cutting, drawing and gluing something right now.
She won't tell me what it is, but she sure is pleased with herself!
We really didn't do much of our "planned" activities Yesterday,
but maybe we'll do them today.I doubt it, I'm thinking we'll do some
of them Tomorrow instead.Friday is usually reserved for catching up on
our chores and free play if we don't have play dates scheduled.
We like our days to have plenty of "unstructured" time for her to explore
her world.I've posted some new pictures of what she came up with
a kite,bracelet,and wand.

She seems like she has a mind of her own.LOL You are doing a great job in letting her explore and create her own. The joy of homeschooling. So did she dress herself? I love her poncho. My dd is 15 months and chooses her own pants.LOL DS stays in jammies all day. Is that a girl thing? Your dd is very beautiful by the way. Have a fun day.

Yes, even the tights she chooses and
dresses herself! She is in and out of jammies all day too.lol
Thank you, every time someone tells her how cute she is, she says,"yeah, thanks, I'm pretty smart too ya' know".
lol Hard to argue with that.

Isn't it just dandy? ALl winter I pray for snow, and just when I get my head wrapped around spring and planting...we get snow.

Hope you have a lovely day , following Princess' lead!

I certainly would have enjoyed our days outside earlier in the week if I had known the end of the week was going to be so cold and ugly. It looks like Princess has a good plan. I hope you had a good day, Friday, catching up on chores and playing. I am trying to keep Friday's free for play dates as well.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
