Sunday in the Garden State

Today we had plenty of Garden in our corner of the Garden State,
and there was plenty of sun in our Sunday.(Saturday too)
Here is a bit of what both Saturday and Sunday looked like around
here..we "hung" around, played horseshoes, had sack races, picnicked under the cedars.
OK, we did a little napping as well. We sung songs, and told stories and jokes,

Princess did a little dressing up...
She made a salad fresh from the garden (our neighbor gave her some cherry tomatoes

from his hanging plant) all by herself (even the cutting). We waited for

our Momma fish to have their babies (not yet).

We just watched the clouds roll by....
Princess learned how to do a little cross stitch...

what did you do? Did you learn something new? Try something you thought was "too hard"?I hope you had some sunny days.We are expecting more rain this week, so we tried to enjoy being out in the sun as much as we could. I hope you did too.((hugs))KateinNJ

Nice photos of P. I like the bottom one of her learning cross stitch, and her hair in the top one. It really is wavy. I never noticed how wavy it was before. It's very pretty.

We went to the beach.

The laundry detergent looks like cheese when it is grated.

Our weekend weekend was alot of fun as well. on saturday friday my cousin came over and made pinwheels and a kite with the girls, then saturday, we went to her house and she learned with us and taught us how to make crepes. They turned out delicious, and the played and swung in her hammock. Then later on we went to a family barbecue.sunday relax, do some school, go shopping and sample at costco...

Princess looks so sweet on the quilt, having her picnic :0)

This will be our last clear day, three days of rain in the forecast. :(

Love all the pictures, esp. the one of P napping. Your garden is gorgeous- I love the walkways. The highlight of my weekend was when CJ and Daddy ran errands and Rose was asleep for most of the time. Peace and quiet at last!

What a wonderful day! They pass so quickly - I can't believe we have just over a month till our homeschooling starts back! I gotta get a move on :)

Wow! What fun! We just started with fancy Guppies, too! We've got one pregnant guppy in a tank by herself (and 6 or 7 males in the community tank).

P's hair is getting really long - so pretty!

P has a great life and wow, her hair. Good childhood and good hair, seems like the recipe for a good future. :)

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
