The Great American Backyard Camp Out

This Saturday, June 27th is The Great American Backyard Camp Out!
Will you join us? Farmer Dad and I will be putting up the tent again this year
here in our little corner of the Garden State. I am not sure what the weather will
be like, but it has been raining. If it is too stormy, we will camp out in the living room.
There will be s'mores...and lots of fun games...we are hoping for lots more fireflies than
mosquitoes and star gazing galore.
The following day is our 25th Anniversary...hopefully the weather will be fine enough
for us to have some family fun. There are plenty of activities this weekend in our area.
Don't forget to stop in on Friday for this week's Book Club selection.

That's exactly what I've been wanting to do, but the weather here has been so HOT.....and mosquitos and flies galore! We may have to wait until fall for our camp out, lol!

We'll be at Mom & Me Girl Scout camp, camping out. I'm kinda wishing we'd be in our backyard instead.

Happy Anniversary!

We are hoping to do the Campout, too, but only if the weather is good. (I don't have enough floorspace for indoor camping, though it sounds like that could be fun, too.

I had no idea about camp out day - I'll have to tell hubby - he LOVES camping, and so does Gigi!

Ami loves sea turtles. We got to see them up close once, as close as you can get by being behind the sign. She also has an artist friend in Hawaii that paints them.

Happy anniversary! Is it the day you met, or your wedding date? You don't look it.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
