Green Up Saturday

GREEN UP SATURDAYS

Wondering how to green up?
I am going to give you a Green Up tip every Saturday,
just because I like you. OK, and because I don't want to
have to try and find another planet to live on just because
we don't know where to start. ;-)
Are you ready?
Here is my Green Up tip of the week.

Stop the junk mail!

Check this out Do Not Mail

Let's all give it a try, and come back next week for another green tip.

I signed the petition. I hope Nancy Pelosi doesn't send me a form letter response. :-)

Your butterfly bush looks FABULOUS. Coneflowers, too. I planted a white coneflower last year and it's tripled in size this season. As much as I love it, I kind of wish I had gone with purple.

Thanks for the tip and the link! For years, my DH has been stuffing the postage paid return envelopes with all of the junk paper they sent, writing "I don't want your offers!" in big black sharpie, and mailing it all back to them. He says they have to pay postage based on how much it weighs. This seems more productive.

I signed up for something that took me off of the list for quite some time. It expired and it slightly increased, but nothing like before. I don't recall the address.

I also use to help take elderly people off the list. Some elderly get confused by flyers that look like they "Won a Million". Some would order excessive subscriptions in hopes of winning.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
