One of the most creative homeschoolers I know,
Wendy over at Zoom Times
tagged me for this garden themed Fruit Meme.....

1 How much space do you have?
maybe a quarter acre (?)

2 What fruit do you grow?
grapes
golden and red raspberries
figs
gooseberries
cranberries
blackberries
strawberries
2 plums
3 pears
black and red cherries
red currants
In the annual garden:
cantaloupe
watermelon
In the house...
pineapple although I have never been able to get fruit

3 Which is your favorite?
FIGS!

4 What do you most want to grow, but can't?

We are going to try it up at the community garden plot next year.

Everytime you mention your figs I think "my dh would lover this." He adores figs. Why can't you grow blueberries. I thought they grew all over NJ. ;) Cute Meme-sad but we don't grow any fruit other than tomatoes.

I love your garden posts. Inspiring!

I have begged for raspberry bushes as a birthday gift. We will see what happens....

Thank you all..Mrs D..I can't wait.
You know how I love your garden posts.

Nina...in theory they do, but we had ours in a bad spot, DH ripped them out and brought them to his Mum.
I've been trying to get him to rip out our azaleas and replace them with
blueberry bushes! My goal is an "edible front yard", but he's resisting. ;-)

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
