Book Post on Tuesday

Here are a few of the library books we are enjoying right now.

Don't Take Your Snake for a Stroll
A fun rhyming story about all the pets you should not take out in public. We were rolling on the couch with this book.

There was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea
Who can resist that tune? Not our family that is for sure! This is a fun take on the "Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly".

Little 1
This is a nice counting book.
Little 1 is looking for a friend to play with,
he goes from 2-9 and is continually rejected
until he finds a hoop to play with , who stands alongside
him so they can pretend to be 10.
This book makes learning numbers and simple addition fun.
Princess enjoyed the graphic art of Paul Rand.

Bear Feels Sick
Another fun story about Bear and his friends

taking care of one another.
We always enjoy them!

Guess What is Growing Inside This Egg
Princess really enjoyed this look at eggs and the babies
who come out of them.

BOUNCE
A fun book about bouncing. I especially like the part about..
Bouncing on the couch is called big bouncing trouble.
but the last 3 pages are our fave..
A bounce can turn into a bump, a bump into a fall. But it's better to have bounced and bumped... than never to have bounced at all!

Mouse Paint
A lighthearted intro into color concepts, three white mice
are hidden from a cat while standing on a piece of white paper.
They come across some jars of paint, and jump in. They begin
to mix up the paints, creating more colors, then they paint with the paints
on paper..but they leave some white for the cat.
I though this was a bit young for Princess, but she enjoyed being able to read it
to me. And then we took out our paints.

We like the bear ones to. It is a nice way to show the kids how to take care of someone. That is always good. The bounce one sounds like one we need to check out, right up the little guys alley. Great list again.

We have Bear's New Friend out right now, and it's CJ's current favorite- I just love those books. I'll have to get the egg one for her- I have a feeling she'd enjoy that one.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
