What we've been doing....

Princess and I have been very busy around here.
I haven't even had time to blog, not even my book post
got done this week. Maybe tomorrow...;-)
Monday we were down the shore, Tuesday
found us with our homeschool group, and
today we had to take Grandma on some
errands. I have spent the last few days trying to
figure out which bills she has paid correctly, and which
she has not. Today I brought her a big stack of checks
to sign. I also got my own bills paid , and I think that deserves a pat on the back.
I still have a messy house, and my laundry is not done, but at least
there is a good reason (this week).
Once back from helping Grandma, we had a snack, did some math, and painted,
crafted, fit in some life skills (our snack spilled on the chair and Princess cleaned it up herself)
then she made a happy little oasis in the desert for her Dromedary.
She couldn't wait for Farmer Dad to get home from work, because she could see
cherries ripening from the kitchen window. Once he got changed, they went out and picked some cherries, and some golden raspberries. They also picked radishes, lettuce, and roses. They played a while, and then after dinner,he took her to the play area at Burger King in town. This gave me some computer time to check out all the blotanical.
They had dessert and then came home to snuggle on the couch and watch TV.

Even though it was a busy day, it looks like it was very fun and interesting for P.

I want me some sugary snack!

Funny thing is, I've always had a "life", even after the kid. Heh heh.

And now I'm leaving it behind for what I envision to be a more glamous one, strutting along the cobbled streets of Italy.

But the reality of it is that I'll probably try to ask someone "Where is the bathroom" and in actuality ask them "Where can I find the whorehouse?"

Or something like that...

Maybe I'll do what Carrie did in season 6 of "Sex & the City" and fall. She fell in Dior; maybe I'll fall in Versace.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
