The Great American Campout!

This Saturday, the National Wildlife Federation
invites you to join in on the 4th Annual
Great American Camp Out !!
We have our camp site set up...will you join us?
Here are some camping themed print outs,
Family Fun has some more here
as well as some great ideas for camping fun and recipes,
and here is another "get ready" guide for you.
Never been camping? Check this out.
It will probably be raining here in the Garden State,
but we will camp out in the living room if we have to.
Did I mention it's our 24th Anniversary?
Just think of the romance...the moon,
the stars, fire pit all aglow...smores over the fire..mosquitoes..
what..not your idea of romance? Well (WARNING..
it may not be for the faint of heart) , check this out.
I will post pictures of our camping adventures on Sunday,
assuming we are not attacked by Groundhogs in the backyard.;-)

The Living room is a great idea. Since we do not have a yard to do it in. We are actually taking them camping in august for the first time. Should be fun. Thanks for links. I will check them out.

At some point I'm going to have to admit that camping will offer my kids a well rounded childhood. But do I have to? lol Good luck camping.

We are planning to do this too. I almost forgot it was this Saturday. Well, for us it will be a two fold celebration - we should also be finished the all the current back yard projects and finally ready to start The Castle.

Nina, I went camping a lot as a child and I tell you I could have done without that particular roundness to my childhood! It was always damp, uncomfortable, itchy, and boring!

But have a good time Kate ;-)

Congratulations on your anniversary. Is it 24 years together or wedding anniversary. Wow. It will be 18 years married for us this fall and 20 together.

I use to like camping when I was a kid, in the trailer ;)
No, I really had fun. I have been all over the U.S. and parts of Canada as well. But when I went to British Columbia it rained nonstop and I have not camped since. I mentioned it to my husband and he said, "No way." He is not camping in our yard with the wildlife that is in our "backyard".

24 years Congratulations! Have Fun Camping! I used to love camping. Since we have been working on the house, I feel like I've been camping for months!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
