First Grade

Today we will begin First Grade here in our
little corner of the Garden State.
We spent some time getting our "school room" in order
this weekend. We moved some things around to better
use the space and allow Princess access to all she likes to do
in that space while still allowing access to the doors and the aquariums.
I will post some pictures later. Princess is up and ready to go to
breakfast now. Things have been hopping around here as we cleaned up
from the storm and tried to organize her Birthday Party.
I have an entire storage cabinet (craft/school supplies) that I need to replace thanks to
the minor flooding we had. That will need to be dealt with. I suppose I could make it a "life skills" and math (sorting and counting) and even a writing lesson (make a list of what we have and what we need?)
later today.

Have a great day!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
