Rainy days and Fridays...

I know, it is supposed to depress you
when it rains. I'm just not feeling it.
I love free water!
Makes me want more of these....to use in my garden.
We only have one.
I would have liked to have another day in the backyard
playing with Little Miss P. however, we are stuck inside
for the time being. Muckin' about in a gentle sprinkle is
one thing, but I am inside when it rains this hard.
I am indulging her need to veg out in front of the TV
and my need to read some blogs.
We do plan on baking a bit later, maybe make some
pizza dough for dinner tonight. We did our school bit
earlier this morning and now we are free to hang out.
I even thought about going to the movies to see
.Nim'sIsland.
But we would have to leave the house....we would all like
to see it anyway, so we will wait for it to be at our favorite
"dinner theatre", or for the dvd to come out most likely.

We had a day like that a few days ago, and I mentioned a rain barrel to my husband- it would sure some in handy come July and August!

Hmm... I would love a day like that right about now. It's not even noon and it's already 94 degrees. We probably won't get rain again until October... *sigh* Enjoy your day :)

I think he was right :-)

And, dang, he's funny!

We got more than three inches in less than 24 hours, Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I hope my garden is still where I left it - still too wet to take a look.

Your garden looks great!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
