Mother's Day Weekend

Saturday and Sunday had better weather than Friday, so we
were able to get outside,
but it has not warmed back up all the way yet.
It was warm enough in the sun, so we took full advantage of it.
Mother's Day found us playing in the backyard all together.
We also weeded and moved some perennials around.
Farmer Dad mowed the lawn for the first time this year
and boy did it smell good. Princess drew me pictures
including this pretty lady bug
and even made a counting picture to send to Little Man.She picked the first radishes of the season for me Mmm Mmm.We enjoyed a lovely day , here Princess is composting our snack "wrapper".
Farmer Dad found this empty nest on the ground out front.
I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day.

Happy belated Mothers Day!

Did you know you can get very realistic plastic eggs at the crafts store? Maybe you could free-cycle a pretty bird cage and put the nest and eggs inside. My friend has something like that for a centerpiece in her dining room, and it's very cute!

I had a pretty good one despite CJ coming down with a cold!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
