Friday's wrap up...

We have had a decent week here in our little corner of the Garden State.
Princess and I have stayed close to home and made a dent in some of
our clutter. I have been selling stuff on Craig's List and Freecycling like crazy!
Princess has been working on her reading and her favorite maths all week.
We have not had any in depth studies, just reading and math and reading worksheets.
She has also been painting and coloring and drawing and working on her handwriting.
We did our usual bread making and pizza night, she has helped clean and do laundry.
Yesterday afternoon she worked for hours outside with Farmer Dad weeding the garden and
planting red raspberries.I will also post some pictures of our Dr Seuss day on Monday..she actually ate the green eggs and ham this year. In past years we skipped that. I will try to get my book post done Saturday..just can't get to the computer too much this week.

Thanks Cher, we have been trying to clear out
her outgrown toys and stuff.
It is amazing how much stuff we have
accumulated in 5 short years.

I think I am going to copy your idea of hanging up monthly activities on a door. What a good way to show all we learned about that month. Thanks for the inspiration!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
