More Books!!!

Here are some of the books we have out from our library
right now, In
Got Geography! Lee Bennett Hopkins gathers vivid poems by sixteen poets
and pictures by Philip Stanton that show that geography isn't just about finding your way.
It's the jumping off point for dreams and imaginations!
Princess especially enjoyed a poem called Awesome Forces by Joan Bransfield Graham
which is about volcanoes.

For Gingerbread House Day,we have a few books we will use

The Gingerbread Boy by Richard Egielski,
Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett,
The Gingerbread Girl by Lisa Campbell Ernst
and Making Gingerbread Houses by Veronika Alice Gunter

For winter reading we have

Snow Globe Family by Jane O'Connor and S.D. Schindler,

A Snowman on Sycamore Street by C.B.Christianson and Melissa Sweet,

The Snowman Who Went for a Walk by Mira Lobe,

Snowflakes,Sugar and Salt by Chu Maki and Isamu Sekido

I wanted to write about the books, but honestly don't have the time this week,
and will end up not getting my book post done at all if I wait to finish "writing it",lol.
If I took a picture of the stack of books we have out right now, you would understand.
So many books..so little time. Now go read something! ;-)

I hope that you enjoy the Snow Globe Family. That was one of our favorites. I tried to find the Got Geography one but my library does not have. Very sad on that:( We did find others by the same author tho so that is good. Once again great list.

Oh, I'm a sucker for geography books! And I'm still waiting for a copy of Gingerbread Baby from the library- I may have to give up and buy it! I'm not familiar with any of the winter books you mentioned, so I'm looking forward to seeing which ones my library has- thanks!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
