We survived last night's "ice storm" without any
property damage or injury. Our friends were not
so lucky, having not one, but two different trees
landing on two different ends of their house.
Princess was happy to visit with them while they waited for
the power to be restored and the limbs removed.
My Father came through his stint procedure quite well
and the cardiac surgeon was pleased with his work.
My Grandmother is safely ensconced on a plane
to visit her daughter and Little Man is just down
for a nap.Princess and I are going to finish our gingerbread house
and I promise to post pictures of the finished product.

I'm glad your father is doing better. I must have missed your post about his heart problems. Sorry ((Hugs))
Have fun with P and stay safe.
I'm really impressed that you make your own ginger bread. I can't wait to see the finished product. (If it's anything like your graden, it will be grand, indeed!) I wimp out and buy the package ready to put together. So far the granddaughters have been too busy and we haven't had a chance to do ours yet this year. Soon!!
(Thanks for dropping by my place!)
I'm glad you survived the ice storm without any problems, but I'm sorry your friends had such bad luck! As bad as things were here, we never had to worry about that as our trees just aren't tall enough. You must be so relieved that your dad is doing OK- mine had a quadruple bypass a few years back so I know how you feel. I'll be looking forward to the gingerbread house pictures!
Thanks Ladies.
PJ, I'm almost embarrassed to post the pics, but we did have fun. I definitely made the walls too thick..last time it was too thin.
One day I'll get it right.lol
I am glad to hear your house is OK. I am lucky because we live far enough north that we got 5 inches of snow and hardly no ice. I am happy to hear your Dad is doing better. I love the picture of your daughter with the gingerbread man! That is so cute!
Lots going on in your neck of the woods.
Glad to hear your father's stint proceedure went well. I know how scary that must have been.
Glad your house survived the ice storm, too.
Keep warm!
