First Snow

It is still Autumn here in the Garden State, but we got a little taste of winter

..finally we got our first snow here, and we just had to go out and enjoy it!Princess and Farmer Dad took turns pulling each other around the yard
in her sled and she took a turn or two down the slide.
They prepared a fire in the fire pit using wood from our fallen cherry tree.I was in charge of providing some hot cocoa.Princess enjoyed both!

If you want to see more pictures from our little snowy backyard,
they can be found at keepingthegardeninthegardenstate
We had a great time and hope you all enjoyed some fun out doors as well!

We had snow here today, but the temp didn't get above 20 so we didn't go out. It looks like you had a wonderful day!

what fun. It snowed just a bit but not enough to stick. Love the mugs.

Lucky, lucky, lucky! I live in Atlanta and we are living it up if it snows once! I love snow (I am a displaced Long Island girl). Last year it snowed about 1 hour from here and we drove to it. That
is how desperate we are for snow. It looks like it was a blast. Enjoy it for those of us who can't.

It looks like they had a lot of fun. It was also interesting to compare the garden now to October.

I love the close-up photo of P in her scarf. She looks ethereal in the cold.

Oh, what fun! I have to admit I'm a bit jealous- I love snow, and we've yet to see a flake here in Oklahoma. I love the Santa mugs!

Seriously, I see no pleasure in snow. Gosh, none. But last photo of P is so very adorable. She is getting cuter and cuter. :)

My favorite photo was Princess with the pink nose. It has been years since I've been anywhere near that cold, but I still manage to curl up with hot cocoa anyway. Good eats. :)

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
