Weekly update

I have been a lazy blogger of late. We have a bit of spring fever here.
Since last week we have had a play date at our house played in the neighbors yard
attended a Birthday bash
baked cookies

counting said cookies as they cooled
we've listened to books on tape
dusted and re-organized our collections

spent blissful hours reading (sometimes about our beloved maths)

sometimes just watched the sun move across the floor

we also watch our seedlings emerge

and played outside

all the while we were grateful that we are able to spend
our days together (even though we get on each other's nerves sometimes)
learning together in our little Garden State Homeschool.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us, we have a music performance this Saturday,
as well as Nana's Birthday! Today is Princess's Aunt L's Birthday, so we must make a call
to California tonight (P insists!) Have a lovely weekend.

Cute new header photo!

The week looks productive as always. I wish we had so many social opportunities. If only I could find a homeschool family to take me into the fold. I need to find Cate some friends. Stressor of the week. Yikes.

What BOT are you lisening to?

Great new header!!

You girls always manage to stay busy and productive.

When it hits 50 degrees here they are going to have to pull me inside the house against my will LOL :)

I love your new header. It is beautiful.

I like the way you documented your week. It can be hard to keep up with everything.

P sounds like a very independent young lady.

Even though our school doesn't look like a traditional program, days or moments arise when I doubt. But many of our great learning weeks, days, or moments occurred when we relaxed and let things be.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
