It's Officially a Snow Day

This is what it looked like as it came down

looking out the living room window..

The window over the kitchen sink..

From the back door

At bed time it looked like thisI was hoping it would all still be here when we woke up today,

and it is!

We even had "guests" for breakfast...I'm feeling only slightly less dead today, but I am going to

pull on Farmer Dad's now pants and take my Princess outside to

enjoy all this loveliness while it lasts, won't you join us?

And here in Delaware, it is already melting! I do miss snow. I mean, REAL snow - when it is a few inches deep, and you can sink your feet and fingers into it. Hope you have a wonderful time!

I love the shot of the Valentines in the window. So pretty!
I see you at many of the blogs I visit, so I thought I'd say hello. My blog is private, but I've sent an invite in case you'd like to stop over.

I love the Valentine pictures too! Wow, it's a winter wonderland!! It's beautiful.

I'm sorry you've been sick. I hope you are totally better soon.

You do so much with your little Princess, I can hardly keep up! I love the books you've been reading. And the little pop-up card she made -- well, I'd be crying too. It's such a great feeling to know they're becoming independent learners and thinkers, but where did our babies go?

I love the pic of the cupids in the snow. Looks like its time to curl up with a good book and a stack of magazines to cut up for collaging.

THIS is the post that scared me off -- all that SNOW! Just kidding, of course. I'm actually glad P & thee had some real winter weather to enjoy. Great pictures! Especially the snow angels. When I was six, making snow angels was my favorite winter sport.

"Sport" because getting dressed for it was a fifteen minute work-out that sometimes resulted in tears.

Hoping for vintage apron pictures ... hint hint :-)

Love the drawing of Pumpkin, too. Fabulous!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
