Green Up Saturdays & Backyard Bird Count

First, I keep forgetting to post a picture of Farmer Dad's Birthday gift We got him a Wrap-N-Mat and a stainless steel water bottle.
The water bottle was too big for his lunch bag, so he has been using the smaller
one I ordered for Princess.

I would love to participate in the Backyard Bird Count. But we have no birds! That's the sad thing about new construction.

Thanks for the heads up about Earth Hour. We'll definitely participate!

We started to do the bird count and then the neighbor cat came along and scared away all the birds! LOL

We're not doing the bird count, but it sounds like fun! We always have tons of birds around here, though......and yesterday they were just everywhere! :)

We love keeping seed on our tree feeders and homemade bird houses on our trees. It really encourages them to stay near.

What the heck is a Wrap-N-Mat??

If you remember, will you post a reminder for the 28th? I love participating in things like that, and I love going to the dentist, but I'm lost without reminder calls :-S

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
