Fun in the Snow

What a lovely day we had today. The sky was blue, the snow was white and sparkling, Princess
was happy. That made it worth being outside in the cold while
still sick....well almost. I pulled her around on her sled.

While she threw snow at me, and on herself. Then she took turns pulling
some of her imaginary friends around the yard.

Then she made some snow angels.....

Isn't it lovely? We went inside after about two hours to make
some stuffed mushrooms. How did you spend your day?

That looks so lovely!! We spent our day at a huge picnic at the beach. Rose ran around with a bunch of kids playing a Lord of the Flies, judging from her description of it.

Personally, I'd rather have been making snow angels!

Glad you enjoyed your day.

Owen read and I baked yesterday- very low key.

Wow! You got a really decent amount of snow up there!

Our dusting melted away, and then we got more last night. Same as yesterday - I can see the ground still. So, not enough for all the snowy fun that you two had!

Wow, you are good mother! Pulling sleds and getting snow thrown on you when you are sick! You deserve a medal!

Yesterday we got a lot of homeschooling done. I didn't go outside all day. :P

I wish we lived near each other. Even though there's an age difference, my son would enjoy playing with Princess.

We have a steep bank in our back yard that DS slides down...wanna come over and play?

We did school all day indoors, as it was very cold, way below zero wind-chill.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
