A break in the weather

It was 64 degrees in our little corner of the Garden State
today. 64 degrees! It did not feel as warm as it sounds,
there was little or no sun, and very breezy. We did get
outside though, and I used this cool book my friend Nina sent me to do a little planning for March. Princess drew a bit, colored a bit, watched the birds,

made some fairy houses, ran around, played on the swings.
It was nice to get outside. I also opened the vents on the windows
for some fresh air inside. Hopefully all my germs went out. :-D
Back inside we played with Princess's doll houses while listening

to bird songs on CD. It was interesting to hear many of the birds we
had been hearing outside.Dinner called for something comforting.
Grilled cheese sandwiches and home made tomato soup.

I took a solo trip to the library to pick up my huge stack of holds.
Princess worked on figuring out how to tell time.
I still have a lingering cough, but it is not nearly as bad. I feel good that we
got outside, because right after we came inside, it started to rain, and I hear it may snow
this weekend. Oh well. I have a big stack of library books, and the house is reasonably clean.
I did a quick dust and vacuum today and stripped all the beds and washed the sheets and
put fresh towels out in the bathroom. I will clean the bathroom in the morning and call it
clean enough. I'm still recovering don't you know. ;-)

Hugs...glad you're feeling a bit better.

You just always taunt me with your posts...you know I want that coffee cup/soup mug, don't you? lol

Of course I want a pretty daughter, too, but I'll just have to be Princess's e-aunt. =)

How many days from onset to "lingering cough?" Trying to figure out if I'm still improving or suffering a setback...

Glad you're on the mend, and I can't believe everything you've accomplished despite illness!!

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
