Last day of September

I feel the need to note that September is ending.
We are about to begin our first full week of Kindergarten
and I'm looking forward to it, but I feel a pressure to
make it really good. Princess keeps asking "what are we learning next?"
"what craft are we going to do?"
Oh well, tomorrow is "Homemade Cookie Day", so we will be baking.
I will try to post what we read and how we made it a "fun learning day"
after our lunch break. But I'm thinking "If you give a mouse a cookie"
will be on the "menu", check out the web site for some fun games and stuff.

Best wishes with your first, full school week. The first two days looked great. :)

It is hard to believe, but I can smell the change in the air as well. I am glad things are moving along so well with your kindergarten program. I do think October is one of my most favorite months...cool enough for sweaters in the mornings and warm enough to take long hikes!

What a beautiful pictures Kate!
I love it when the seasons change, I get almost giddy. I made a big pot of butternut squash soup today, a sure sign that fall has begun around our house.

My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
