Roasting tomatoes....

that is what my house smells like right now.
Can you smell it where you are? I could smell it when I returned home
from dropping off Farmer Dad after his lunch visit. We wanted our truck,
so I brought him back and we will pick him up later.
My sister was here with Princess along with Luis,
who is safely returned to us from Peru!!!
He brought us lovely gifts as well, but none so nice
as having him home. Princess was so excited to speak to
him yesterday, and when he stopped by today, I thought
she was going to plotz! She kept saying,"I'm so glad you are home
Yuis(this is how she says his name), I have been missing you so much
when you were in Peru!!" lol
We all hugged him and are so happy to have him back.
Today has flown by with much cooking and reading and playing with Luis.
I will post pictures soon.

I wish I could smell that. There is nothing so good as the smell of of yummy foods coming from your own kitchen. I am very glad to hear that Luis made it home safely.

My kitchen has finally rid itself of the smell of pickling spice and soon it too will smell of tomatoes.

It's fall and fall definitely has all it's own smells. :)

Mmmmmm, I would love to have that smell in my kitchen right now! And good to hear that Luis is home safe. He sounds like a very special part of the family.

Thanks Gals,
I usually freeze them for some taste
of summer in the winter.
I also like to roast them for salsa.
M- lol, P does not like tomatoes unless they are on pizza or a taco!
:-(

I stood out on the porch, looking for a southern wind to bring the smells wafting here...no luck! ;)

We are big on roasted tomatoes layerd on homemade macaroni & cheese! Hmmm!

Glad Luis is back and all is well.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
