Deck the Halls

Are we all in the "Holiday" spirit yet?
Alley is..Pumpkin just likes to sleep under the tree.
I wanted to get a photo, but he refused to sign a release
unless his terms were met.

We've been spending a lot of "family time" here in
our corner of the Garden State, Farmer Dad has been
on vacation, and will be home until January 2nd.

Many hours are spent carrying Alley around in his coat .
He did hook my camera cord back up to our OLD
Dinosaur computer, and I'm going to try to post.

I feel really behind, as I have not been able to get
computer time to visit everyone, let alone update here.
Our new computer is on it's way to us, and most of
today was spent cleaning up our computer area to make room for it.

Here is some of what we've been up to....
snacking on "Santa" pizzas...eggnog and cupcakes.
Curled up reading here...

watching the lights come on across the street...
Hot cocoa in our Santa mugs...
Visiting the neighborhood "Christmas House"..we'll be heading there tonight,
as Santa will be available for pictures.
We had sunny warm days (Monday was 65 degrees)
and some snow.
Today we got more snow.
We used the cold times for crafting and making holiday cards..

and adding a bit more "sparkle" around the house.

I will be back on track here soon, but in the meantime, please leave a comment here
if you put photos of your halls being decked on your blog
so we can all come visit. Mr Linky is not compatible with my
level of computer skills, or perhaps my dino of a computer. ;-)
Any new ornaments this year?
Why yes, two so far...

Our tree just went up moments ago... decorating is slated for tonight. I spent the whole day in the kitchen... 5 loaves of bread and 4 dozen cookies later.. I'm pooped!!!

Your house looks great- very festive and warm.

I positively love the look out your window of the neighbors lighted house. That is such a neat pic! I did a post on decking the halls today too so feel free to come take a peek.

I will help you add a Mr Linky if you want me to.

Boy. When you catch up, you really catch up! Love all the holiday warmth and sparkle you've been up to.

Is that Christopher Robin, to the left of the Eiffel Tower?

Wow that's sure some Xmas spirit you've got going there! I remember the sweet, sweet old days of making handprint reindeer :-) And your cats sure are cute. But tell me, how do you sleep with all that sparkly light shining through the neighbourhood? ;-)

She has two cats. Alley cat and Pumpkin cat." EVERYONE SHE TALKS TO. Love P and everything but jeez louise enough is enough already. Wish me luck, the invasion starts tomorrow after we go meet up with Santa.

Merry Christmas! Everything looks great! What a nice virtual visit. We decorated the tree today, so I'll take pictures and blog them tomorrow.

The Santa pizza is cute.

I love your new ornaments and header.

Oddly that day time high of yours was probably higher than any of our highs last week due to cooler than normal temps.

Your new computer will be a nice Christmas present.

You've been busy! Of course, we share the same weather for the most part, but we are sadly lacking in snow in Delaware. Please send some. ;-)

I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday week. This is such a beautiful and fun time!

We had a few warm days too, now its back down to FREEZING, yet no snow for us. We would love for it to just really dump a couple feet. Have fun with all your plans, and stay warm!

Hi Kate~

I know I haven't been around much lately (blogging or commenting), but I wanted to stop by and wish you a Merry Christmas. Hope all of you have a great one!
PS Love the new header- every neighborhood needs a house like that one!

Your days always looked fun filled. I hope all is well. You know we worry without a daily post.

I hope you are enjoying the days leading up to the holiday. Glad Jenny mentioned the banner photo. Wow. :)

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
