A few shots of some of what we've been doing while we were not blogging...
Naturally, all that exercise required snacks.....
I found these old "banana split" dishes at a Thrift Store visit
with my friend on a rare day away from my family.
We have actually got a lot of school stuff done as well.
Farmer Dad has been doing a lot of math with Princess,
and her reading is really improved. We have also been baking
and listening to music, and watching old movies on t.v.,
Princess has taken a liking to old Judy Garland movies of late.

Wow you guys have snow. That is so fun. Does P like the snow? What age did you start teaching P. to read?
P is such a sport. Cate wouldn't spend more than ten minutes outside in the snow and we had a lot. Well over a foot.
I always love it when my dh gets involved in the home learning. He has been reading her books about castles and now she is very interested. I found a great pop up castle book at the Goodwill last week to add to our growing collection.
Princess and I would get along fine... I am a Judy Garland fan as well:)
Those banana splits look yummy and the dishes are making me want to go and thrift shop!!
You always seem like you have so much fun. We are thinking of planning a trip north sometime for the boys to see snow for the first time. It should be interesting to see if they react as well to it as P does.
When Ami's dad is in town he does the math. It really helps me.
I love that picture of Princess on your sidebar.
The banana split dishes are a great find.
I can't say I am missing the snow but I do hope we get back in time to do some sledding.
Hi, Kate. I am just catching up on your blog. Your holiday time looks wonderful!! My snow pictures never seem to turn out well - maybe it's because I'm too frozen to take a proper photo. Your photos are fantastic.
And Judy Garland? Love it!!
No snow here. Just winds that made today's trash pick-up an interesting thing to watch!
Ah, Judy Garland. I also caught "In the Good Old Summertime" and "Meet Me In St. Louis" last week. Lovely movies.
I hope P had a great time playing in the snow and that all of you enjoy a lovely New Year full of good health and copious amounts of happiness!
