Green Up Saturday

I asked Princess what tips
she would give people to be more "Green".
She had several ideas:
  1. Draw on both sides of a piece of paper.
  2. Turn off lights when you are not in a room.
  3. Turn off the computer and/or t.v. if you are not using them.
  4. Turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth.
  5. If you don't finish the water in your canteen (her Sigg bottle),use the left over water to water the plants, don't just dump it in the sink.

  6. Put your veg and fruit scraps in the compost container.

Not bad eh? Have a blissful weekend..we'll be keeping an eye on this..

and these...

These are actually really great ideas and a couple of them I don't do and will be starting to do from now on. Thanks, P!

P and Carbon would have a lot to talk about on the green ideas. He lectures about power use and when people use paper plates or towels.

I'm happy to say we practice most everything on Princess' list - my husband will be making a compost bin soon - then we'll be 100% !!

Thanks Princess for tip #4- we are indeed guilty of wasting lots of water while brushing teeth. ...we're going to try to be better about that :)

Hi Kate, Please tell Ms. Princess that we used her list and checked everything off. She is an excellent list maker.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
