McDonalds Happy Meals in San Francisco

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors Land Use Committee recently voted 3-0 in

favor of an ordinance to limit toy giveaways in children's meals that have excessive calories, sodium and fat.The measure is coming to a full vote this week.

Supervisor Bevan Duffy is the swing vote, and if you live in the San Francisco area and care

about this issue, please contact Supervisor Duffy by clicking here.

McDonalds spends a lot of money to get their point of view across

however, I believe Margaret Mead had it right when she said,

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people

can change the world.Indeed, it is he only thing that ever has."

This is also not about trying to make parents feel guilty about

feeding fast food to their children, so please let that go.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
