This is my favorite time of year to be outdoors, and my favorite time to bring kids out. No longer need bug spray and sun screen, but don't need snow pants and boots yet. Just shoes, a light jacket, and out the door to collect leaves and acorns.
I agree, outdoor time is very important. Your yard looks like a great place to be!
I totally agree. I like Gavin to get at least 2 hours outdoors, but would prefer much more. 3 or 4! I try for 2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon at least.
The people here (on base) say winter is too cold and bitter, so they let their (mostly badly-behaved, unsupervised) children outside now to wreck as much havoc as possible, before winter sets in.
Wimps, I say! It is just as important to get outdoors in the winter as it is in spring, summer and fall!
Have fun outdoors. Our day is just beginning (it is almost 9 a.m.), so it is time to get dressed and head outdoors until lunch time.

Fun, fun! I agree.....we spend time outside every day - it's one of the most important things I think. Playing, caring for the animals, gardening....too much fun out there to be stuck inside all the time :)
oh...I just picked my first cabbage from my garden this fall. It is the first time I've ever been able to get it to actually grow! I was so excited, lol! I made cole slaw with it last night. YUM!
